About the paintings of
Stephen Osborn
Stephen Osborn is a full time painter who lives in the Bay area of California. He graduated from San Jose State University with a degree in graphic design and illustration and a minor in print making. He has had a long and successful career as an award winning graphic designer and illustrator and he taught drawing and design at San Jose State for many years.
Over the years he has won several gold medals in the New York, Los angeles, and San Francisco Art Directors Exhibitions and many, many Awards of Distinctive Merit in these and other shows. Communication Arts Magazine featured him in a ten page article and he has also been published in Graphis.
His clients have included Apple Computer, Applied Materials, Bank of America, Hewlett Packard, Syntex Pharmaceuticals, IBM, Raychem, Visa, and PG&E.
“I just flat out love to paint—and that is the message I’m trying to convey—to share my joy in a visual dance with the viewer. Its really not that complicated—just joy. I’m very intrigued by the nature of landscape and man’s hand in changing it—I iwist and pull it a little just for the fun of it.”
